Chameli Fabric
No collection would be complete without a paisley, India's traditional ornamental textile design. Featuring the buta – a teardrop-shaped motif with a curved upper end – the pattern evolved mainly in Kashmir during the reign of Mughal Emperor Akbar (1556–1605). Chameli has a timeless beauty and can be mixed with any of the other designs in the collection. Alison painted the intricate repeat in watercolour on a gesso ground to give the design its soft, chalky texture.

Prints are sold in lengths of up to 10 metres. If you need more than 10 metres, speak to your maker about the best configuration for your fabric and drop.

Mercia Linen 250gsm
A soft ecru, heavier weight cloth with a more defined slub texture and a real sense of quality. Made from a blend of organic and recycled cotton and linen, it’s the choice for those who want their fabric to feel as considered as it looks.
Suitable for cushions, curtains, lampshades, blinds and a wide range of soft furnishings and home décor. Printed with eco-friendly water-based pigment inks, with excellent wash fastness and long-lasting results. GOTS certified fabric. OEKO-TEX Eco Passport and ECOCERT certified ink. Martindale abrasion test: 35,000. 65% organic cotton, 25% recycled cotton, 10% linen.
Wash on a delicate machine cycle at 40°C / 105°F. Do not tumble dry. Iron on a medium heat without steam, ironing print side down. Do not bleach. Dry clean using any solvent. Do not wring.
Luxury Linen 228gsm
An ivory cloth with a slight slubby texture – really lovely to work with and drapes beautifully. The whiter ground is perfect for a crisp, fresh interior.
Suitable for cushions, curtains, lampshades and a wide range of soft furnishings. Printed with eco-friendly water-based pigment inks that are inherently UV resistant, with excellent durability and wash fastness. OEKO-TEX Eco Passport and ECOCERT certified ink. Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) certified. Martindale abrasion test: 20,000. 94% cotton, 6% linen.
Wash on a delicate machine cycle at 30°C / 85°F. Delicate tumble cycle on a low heat. Iron on a medium heat using steam, ironing print side down. Do not bleach. Dry clean using any solvent. Shrinkage estimated 4-8%.
Natural Luxury Linen 228gsm
The unbleached version of our Luxury Linen, with the same lovely handle and drape. The natural, undyed ground is perfect for a vintage feel.
Suitable for cushions, curtains, lampshades and a wide range of soft furnishings. Printed with eco-friendly water-based pigment inks that are inherently UV resistant. OEKO-TEX Eco Passport and ECOCERT certified ink. Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) certified. Martindale abrasion test: 25,000. 94% cotton, 6% linen.
