Design has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Over many years of creating fabrics and wallpapers, I have developed a deep understanding of pattern, colour and scale, and of how a design will live and breathe in a real interior. I now offer that experience to companies and interior designers looking for something truly original.
More than thirty years of designing sit behind every piece — starting with a thorough, traditional design training at Sanderson and Morris & Co., followed by years of freelance work for venerable design houses including Liberty, Salvesen Graham, GP & J Baker, Schumacher and Cole & Son, with a recent collaboration for Lewis & Wood.

Every pattern starts with a single motif, built up in gouache stroke by careful stroke, long before it becomes a length of fabric or a roll of wallpaper — a design for Morris & Co.
In the Studio
A woodland scene takes shape in gouache, leaf by leaf and branch by branch — the kind of close, patient work that goes into every design, however large the piece. A design for Morris & Co.
A Season in the Making
A wallpaper panel can take weeks to complete in gouache. Here, a unicorn and a lion join a garden already filled with deer, hounds and hares — a design for Morris & Co.

Building the Palette
Individual flower heads and a trailing border are worked out separately in watercolour, tried and refined before they’re arranged into a finished repeat.
Paisley, Reimagined
A traditional boteh form filled with fine gouache detail: leaping deer, feathered fronds, and layers of damson, rose and duck-egg blue.
A World Within the Pattern
Deer, hounds, birds and butterflies wander through a hand-painted gouache landscape — a whole scene held inside a single wallpaper drop.
Old Master, New Cloth
Rich parrot tulips in gouache against black, painted in homage to the still-life tradition — one bloom, top right, still waiting its turn.
From Pencil to Paint
