Monkey Palampore Natural Luxury Linen
Monkey Palampore is a large-scale, statement design. A palampore is a type of hand-painted and mordant-dyed bed cover made in India for the export market during the eighteenth and very early nineteenth centuries. Only the wealthiest could afford to buy palampores, and so the few examples that have survived are very valuable today. Taking different elements from traditional palampores and with the addition of playful monkeys and a bird, this fabric is a magical new take on a centuries-old design. I painted it in watercolour, using a resist technique to form some of the intricate patterns within the motifs. I hope to have maintained the beauty of those stunning pieces while adding my own touches to personalise and update them. Available as both fabric and wallpaper, this design is sure to make a dramatic statement anywhere – as curtains, for wall coverings, bed hangings, and cushions.

FABRIC DESCRIPTIONS
Soft velvet 280gsm
Soft short pile velvet with a luxurious look and feel, made from 100% polyester, particularly durable and easy to work with. Suitable for soft furnishings (light domestic).
Wash on a delicate machine cycle at 30 degrees C/85F. Iron on a medium heat not using steam, ironing print side down for best results.  Do not iron on top of other polyester fabrics, as the print may transfer.  Do not dry clean. Do not wring.  Shrinkage  2- 5%
Shimmer velvet 340gsm
A luxurious and sumptuous velvet, made from 100% polyester. Â Suitable for soft furnishings (light domestic).
Handwash only at 30 degrees C/85F Â Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Dry flat. Do not wring.
Luxury Linen 228gsm
Luxury cotton linen, suitable for soft furnishings (light domestic), curtains, lampshades. A medium heavyweight fabric, plain weave with a linen slub. Printed with eco friendly water based pigment inks, with excellent durability and wash fastness. An OEKO-TEX standard 100 certified fabric. 94% cotton, 6% linen.
Wash on a delicate machine cycle at 30 degrees C /85F Iron on a medium heat using steam, ironing print side down for best results. Do not bleach, Drip dry, Do not wring. Shrinkage estimated 4-8%. Suitable for dry cleaning.
Natural Luxury Linen 228gsm
An unbleached version of the luxury linen.Â
